The world of the ceramic, of the wheel, of the plough, of gold, silver and copper metallurgy is the world of the old. And the writing with AA alphabet at Mitoc, or the geometrical alphabet at Vinca-Turdas-Rast.This led to the building of towns and fortresses in Anatolia, Palestine and Mesopotamia. Nobody knows whether this evolution (ceramic>ploughing>metallurgy>town) was the best solution man could find. Modern man is proud to look back in time at the apparition of the first towns. But the first towns and the first big states led to the first big wars. It seems the dichotomy between the rural and the urban world is responsible for the split between the Carpatho-Danubian and the Sumerian civilizations. In the villages, and in the woods the Vedes were created and preserved. The Thracians, the most numerous people after the Indes (Herodotus) refused to learn writing and rejected the urban world even in the acme of the Greek and Roman civilization. They preferred to vanish from history as they did not leave any written documents. The Dacians, a branch of the great Thracians, are known to have had one of the most advanced technologies of the ancient times, although they lived in the villages or in the mountaints.
