LEPENSKI-VIR 6.500 BC


LEPENSKI-VIR archaeological site of early neolithic cultures. The place is situated on the bank of the Danube river at the Iron Gates, Yugoslavia. A village of trapezoidal houses, contemporary with the Neolithic Early Starcevo complex, but including local Danubian Mesolithic elements.
