CEAHLAU 30.000-10.000 BC


CEAHLAU, A big complex of archaeological sites situated in the East side of the Ceahlau mountains in the East of Romania, on the Bistrita river. East Aurignacian (3) and Gravetian (4) stratums. In most of them the strange thing is that there are no bones. A lot of red paint was found. The most interesting sites are: "Cetatica 1" and "Scaune" (cca 1328 m). (C.S. Nicolaiescu-Plopsor, Al.
